About the Artist

After qualifying with a Batchelor of Arts degree and a Higher Teachers Diploma, I taught Art and English for many years.

Before moving from South Africa to the USA in the 1990's, I took part in several group shows and had two solo shows in Cape Town, as well as a solo show in Johannesburg.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, I am deeply involved with sculpture, with a particular emphasis on the creation of Face Jugs.

I am fascinated by Antique American Southern face jugs and their history.  My particular approach reflects a 21st century interpretation.  It is my intention to combine my painting and sculpture skills in the creation of work which is visually appealing, exciting and meaningful.
